    Default iTunes 8.0.1 update

    Whats the news on this update, does it break anything or is it safe to update?

    personally I think I might wait till after the 21st and see what that brings

    i have 8.0.1 on my new macbook. DFU mode doesn't work right, I get a 2001 error.

    also, "check for purchases" doesn't work, i have 16 things I can't download!

    I run a Vista PC. I have not had the "Check For Purchases" issue. Custom firmware gives you a 1601 error. The DFU issue listed above is the same. Other than that, I personally like it. I use genius all the time, I like it more than pandora. I do however keep iTunes 7.5 handy, you never know when you might need to fix your phone.
