Deleting files i don't use

I have a jailbroken 3g running 2.1. I have been reading all about apps that slow your phone down and i was wondering about all the language packages in apps on my phone. All the default apps have like 10 languages- can i delete the ones i don't use to free up space and speed up my phone?

I used this program to take off the default ringtones and backgrounds. I didn't think about taking off the languages I don't use.. Good Idea.

You will not speed up your phone. #1- it's flash memory / #2- it's not winblows.
