iphone not showing up in itunes...

i got a new iphone 3g (black 16gb) yesterday after my first one went haywire and i got a replacement...

now my new one wont show in itunes but it will show in windows...

ive installed itunes again twice... used 6 different usb ports restated my iphone and computer multiple times... and even used 2 different cables for safe measure...

now i really need to sync my phone and i cant... i even went to an apple store to see if they could help and it worked at the store... so i went home and tried it and yet the same thing... a no go for me



i really would love some help

and also in got a new usbaapl.sys driver just in case... still nothing

What OS or you using?

i tried it on windows xp sp 3 and vista sp1, ubuntu 8.10 and a macbook pro with os x 10.5.5

didnt work on a single one... EVEN THE MACBOOK PRO

but i went to the apple stoe yesterday and it not only worked instantly there on a macbook but a bootcamped macbook pro with xp

they said the only other thing to do would be to bring in the dektop... and i dont want to do that...

i want this phone to work becaseu its gets a better signal everywhere (talking 4 to 5 bars of 3g where i used to get 1 to 3) and the batter life lasts all day of use with 3g on which my other phone couldnt do from day one...

seriously guys I need some help if possible... I still have yet to sync my phone... And would love to sync it

updating itunes helps most. when mine did this it was because it was formatted for a mac and im a pc user. try using an application called media monkey and see if that application recognizes it. then we can at least find out where the issue is....on the phone, computer, or itunes.

and yes media monkey does now support the 2.x firmwares
