Backing up Cydia Apps?

Is there a way to backup downloaded cydia apps? It's such a hassle every time I restore my phone that I gotta go in and redownload EVERY APP that I had. I tried saving programs from the /private/var/stash/Applications folder, for example I tried saving my PdaNet.app folder and then uninstalling PdaNet from Cydia. Then I tried manually adding the PdaNet.app back to the Applications folder. It shows up on my homescreen but when I click on it the program starts to open but then just disappears. It has done this with several other apps as well. But then some other apps will work by doing this.

So is there something else that I am missing? Easier way to backup Cydia apps or am I just SOL? lol
