Cleared all Data & Settings, iPhone now usless.
Hello,
I was planning on selling my iPhone on eBay, so this afternoon I went through the proccess of clearing all my data & settings using the option in the General Settings menu. So, it took about an hour and a half, the phone restared and then it stayed at the start up screen for a while, and i figured, well this did say it would take 2 hours, it hasnt really been 2 hours yet. So, I left it alone, let it do its thing, went to work. I come home 10 hours later, and its still at the start up screen. It wont do ANYTHING besides restart every 10 minutes or so. iTunes wont even pick it up. I tried to put it into DFU mode to see if iTunes would pick it up and still nothing. Im stuck at the Apple screen.
What the heck is going on?!?!?! Did I do something wrong? How can I fix this?
Im on Unlocked/Jailbroken 2.1 on a 1st Gen 16GB, if that makes a difference.
Pleaseeee help!!!

You might not be timing your button presses right for DFU mode...

I tried to IM you but it just sayas that you're offline.
anyways, I've never had a problem going into DFU before, I know how to do it, I've done it loads of times before.
this stupid iPhone is just freaking unresponsive.
does anyonehave any clue as to why this may have happened?

^^It will go into DFU mode if done properly.
1. Itunes open, phone plugged in and off (can force off by holding BOTH power and home down)
2. Hold POWER button for 5 seconds.
3. WITHOUT letting go of POWER, now hold HOME button for 10 seconds (both held)
3. Let go of POWER, CONTINUE to hold the HOME button until Itunes detects the phone (usually about 10-20 seconds).
4. Restore.
