    Default iTunes can't read the contents...

    Hey,

    last week I got an iPhone (1.1.4) of a friend with this problem:

    iTunes can't read the contents from the iPhone. Open the iPhone settings and click on restore to put iPhone back to factory settings.

    I did the restore with a custom firmware and updated it to 2.1
    everything worked fine and some days after again the same error message when connecting via USB to iTunes.

    Does somebody know this problem? Could I solve it or is it a hardware problem where the restore doesn't help at all? Any idea?
