Still slow loading SMS, Camera, Settings apps
So since 2.0 and even upgrading to 2.1 Ive been plagued with these apps taking up to 7 seconds to load. I have restored a few times and it will go away for a week then come right back. Ive tried restoring to a custom fw thru pwnage and restoring to stock itunes and using quickpwn. This last time I restored I installed NO jailbroken apps to see if it was one of them causing it but after a week the problem came right back. Im on a first gen (1.1.4 otb) unlocked and jailbroken. Any tips are welcome please because this is driving me nuts!
PS. Would upgrading my bootloader from 3.9 to 4.6 make any difference?

Same issue here man. Even if I have NO open SMS's and just want to create a new one it still takes about 7 seconds. Settings is the same, as well as camera. So you aren't alone.
I thought it was because I had backgrounder installed but I uninstalled it and rebooted and still no-go.

Third this sentiment. This problem coupled with my lock screen freezing is making me hate this device!

Same here. Quite annoying. Seems to get worse and worse the longer it's been since a restore.
I sense that 2.2 is coming soon though. Maybe even this weekend. I'm crossing my fingers that they've cleared up some of these annoying issues...If my post was helpful to you, hit the thanks button!

This may not be the solution for any of you but I uninstalled mobilesubstrate (which also uninstalled mobile finder and statusnotifier) and that solved my problem right off the bat.
I'll really really miss status notifier (as its really one of the simplest things that should be built in) but I shall try to live without it.
Try it out and see if that does it for you.
