what todo?
well, im bout to go to the apple store to see if i get my 3G replaced as its getting yellow spots towards the bottom of the screen, but the thing is , i have an at&t prepaid sim, not a regular account...so i plan on telling the guy that i removed the sim cuz i didnt think they needed it for repair, and also that im gonna leave the country in a day. to see if he swaps it with a new one.i still have the original box and the phone is in mint condition...so im thinking, should i erase system files so the phone wont turn on or should i leave it as is?

The first question they ask is your phone number. If they see it's not an active AT&T iphone account they'll send you away.

That probably won't work...
They don't just take your old 3g and send you away with a new one. You have to sign in to your att account and they have to update it to show your new hardware (and check to make sure that all is as it should be). I think your best bet probably is to call att- tell them the situation and hope they take pity on you.
Good Luck!

If they say no, you own it
Have to replace the screen or live with it. 3g is more complicated to work on, but easier to get apart. Screen replacement should be something most can pull off, but that's about it.
