iPhone Movie Player

Hey, i've been looking all over the web for a 3rd party app that plays movies. The reason why im looking and not using the iPhones built in movie player is because I have an Alpine CDA-9885 deck in my truck for my system and ive got the full speed ipod adapter so i can play my music through the ipod. But when i do that the iphone says i have an external device plugged in blah blah and i cant access anything in the ipod app therefore i cant access movies i put on the phone. Ive read about VLC but it doesnt look to be in existence any longer, are there any apps i could use on my first gen 8gig?

mPlayer is on Cydia that plays any video format pretty much.
