Question About Unlocked iPhone 2g 2.0.2

Hi have an Unlocked 2g iPhone running firmware 2.0.2. I bought it unlocked & jailbroken and I was wondering if I can do a full restore on the phone without the junk in the phone when I got it. I tried to use Winpwn to do it but after it builds the custom firmware, it tells me to enter the iPhone into DFU mode. I followed the steps on the screen. After I get it into DFU mode, the program just stops working. Any ideas? I was reading around and was thinking if I should restore the iPhone with 2.0.2 original firmware into the iPhone and then using Winpwn to unlock and jailbreak it. I'm also running the latest version of iTunes as well as Windows Vista Ultimate and tried it on Windows XP Home Edition as well.

i would say that the easiest way is to upgrade using itunes then use quickpwn, easy enough

After you get into DFU mode your supposed to restore to that custom firmware you just made.

It says I have to wait for a screen on the iPhone that says Ready to restore custom IPSW

I ended up restoring my iphone to 2.0.2 and wondering how I can unlock and jailbreak it again.
