Iphone Continually in "Usage" mode, Battery is crap now

My Iphone is stuck in usage mode. When i go to the settings and view the useage and standby times, the useage is the same exact number as the stand by time. I would leave the iphone idle screen off after a fresh reboot and the useage will still be the same. Now my battery only lasts 8 hours without any useage. What can i do to fix this?

what do you have running all the time?
winterboard animated html/movies?
sleeping while in the camera app?
...

are you sleeping in the springboard or other apps?

i always sleep on the icon screen, i did a hard reboot to make sure that nothing was running in the background, ssh, wifi, push are all off.

Go into settings>general>reset> erase and reset all settings.

it will take 2 hours to complete. Plug the phone up and go watch a movie.
