earpiece broken i think

ive had my iphone for a while. for a while my ear piece would cut in out, especially if i pressed the phone harder against my ear during a call. i did drop it from 2 feet height, it was in a soft case. then it continued to cut out, now it doesnt work at all, i have to make phone calls through headset or speakerphone, what could be wrong? i tried the method with putting the headset in and out, i saw a video showing that u have to clean the headset jack or something, didnt try it. i might have to replace ear piece, how much does it cost to replace it?
