CallerID problem for firmware 2.1 iPhone 3G

Hi guys, I'm sure a lot of you might have this problem...

Well here's the problem:

I am in the UK and got my iphone 3G off the US...I was on firmware 2.0.2 and had sms and call contact number mismatched. It's a callerID problem basically. Have tried searching in google, found 2 solutions...
1) somehow SSH the plist file they provide to replace some files in the iPhone and reboot... tried it, didn't work...
2) download CallerID Fix Collection created by Frank8, from Cydia... then reboot... tried it, didn't work...

Then out of somewhere, came a suggestion that restoring to firmware 2.1 will support the fix for callerID in the UK. So I did, didn't work...

Now I'm stuck and don't know what to do... Please help me...

PS: I'm using TurboSim, not sure if it affects...
