what do i do to fix this?

i dropped my iphone3g and now the lcd is cracked. im guessing i need just a new lcd, as its cracked but everything else still works fine. can anybody help me out with links to find these lcd's and replacement parts, or what i should go about doing.

Depends, if the screen displays perfectly and all areas still have touch....then all you broke is the front glass...which can be bought w/ the digitizer (if touch doesnt work, thats also what you need).

And if the screen doesnt display correctly....its the LCD as well

Nice part about the 3g....the LCD is seperate from the digitizer and screen, so you can get either or......On the 2g phones, the LCD, digitizer and screen is all fused together as 1 piece that cant be taken apart without breaking....so you have to buy all which is about $170.

Search around, there's a few different place on the net to buy parts....just google.

Digitizer comes connected to the glass, LCD is separate.
