1st Gen iPhone camera not working
I have a 8Gb running 2.1 there is a problem with the camera when click camera it opens. But there is no picture only a distorted screen kind of like the fuzz you would see on the old TV sets,But this fuzz is mainly Green, black and white. It has never been dropped or abused it's in mint condition not one single scratch or dent. I found a replacement camera on ebay for $7.00 do you think i should replace it?
any idea?

i sometimes get that fuzz screen when i take pictures quickly when im on photoswap or something, it might be a software problem, i suggest you reinstall your firmware.. that might fix your problem

I have the same issue. Replacing the camera did NOT fix it. Restore didn't seem to help much either. seems to be an issue on the motherboard.

Thanks for the heads up. I think I will just sell the phone on ebay.
