Well said and I sure hope you're right. Luckily I didn't have to threaten anything like that. I did as the Chef suggested and played dumb.
I explained the problem to the young guy at the Genius Bar and told him I didn't have my sim (Oh...I needed that, I'm sorry, I forgot it). He started to sat that he wouldn't be able to do anything to test and then he turned around and started cleaning the ear cutout on the phone (it's NEW??). Then after trying to sync(or activate) it ( I restored it before I went in), he went to the drawer and pulled out a new phone!
He never asked for my ATT info ro anything. I signed the papers, exchanged phones and left! I never get that lucky!
