iPhone 3G Battery

Lately my battery seems to be draining down.
I'm on a white 16gb 2.1 iphone 3g

If I have my iPhone connected and it's charging, and I have music playing on it while it's charging, or if I am using it in any way, the battery actually goes down faster than it charges.

I've tried this with multi cables.
When I'm just using it without charging, it also goes drains real quickly.
Any Ideas?

Just disabled some apps, services etc, gonna use it for today and see how it functions. If it's still bad, full restore coming.

Some apps can drain the crap out of the battery...its always good to make sure you fully close them (holding down the home button until they close, instead of just clicking it)....But it really shouldnt drain faster than it charges....good luck.

i noticed the same thing on mine recently. like today i left the house at 55%. made 3 calls, used maps to find something then called them. totally maybe 20 min of phone use and 2 min of maps and i got the 20% warning.

i would restore it, and then if the problem persists make a trip to the Apple store, they can hook it up to their computer and see what the problem is and then replace it if necessary. my friend had this happen on 2 iPhone 3G's and his 3rd one is finally good.
