Weird sms problem...a lil help please.

Hey people, got a a very strange problem with the sms.app, the three buttons at the bottom , '123' 'spacebar' & 'return' all don't seem to work at all.
When pressed only the buttons in the row above are activated...other apps eg. phone.app bottom buttons function just fine as well as all the dock apps.
I have tried restoring already and it's the same thing, I know the touchscreen isn't damaged due to the fact other apps with buttons in the same position on the screen works. This is first time I've seen this,has anybody encountered this problem, any help is appreciated.

Actually the buttons you speak of represent the lower part of the digitizer that are only used on the keyboard. On the rest of the apps and things like dock icons the icon comes up nearly twice the height of the spacebar so it will work no matter what.

Try typing in an email and see if it works or not.

Oh..well I haven't tried typing an email, in work forgot the phone at home, but I'm guessing it'll prob be the same thing. The sms thing is really strange though, so r u saying it may be a hardware problem??

Still open to any more help guys

It's generally the keyboard that's the problem

It's the lower part of the digitizer. Everything else is above that line. Only the keyboard drops down that far.

Use an email program in the app store that types sideways, and Cydia has an sms app that types sideways.

Well it's not my phone and I doubt the guy looking to go thru that,because he bought the phone secondhand from some1.
