I have a dumb question, I am a original AT&T subscriber. I bought a 1st gen iphone back when it came out... jail broke it and have been using it without the internet plan. Basically my old phone sim in my iphone. I been wanting to get a 3G and do the same thing, but since I guess it is not technically unlocked I can not do this correct? Or is that only for people on other carriers? I just have a normal 3g sim card that comes with those jank phones.
I guess you can still use the sim card and activate the iPhone 3G since you're with ATnT, but to unlock it, not yet. But why bother unlocking it since you're with ATnT? just jailbreak it and enjoy... unlocking only applies to people from other carried but want to use iPhone both 3G or not 3G...
Im new to all this. My 3g is jailbroken, i use windows xp pro. Ive been waiting for a video recording program and now cydia has done that. How do i dl it? It says to get it off the cydia front page, but where the hell is that? lol. Please help
u cant activate an iphone on att without iphone plan i think it would need to be unlocked to use a diffrent plan with att. Not posative but i am pretty sure
well at one time they were talking about selling the 3G without in store activation, but I was pretty sure with my 1st gen after jailbreaking it I still had to "unlock" it so I could use a generic sim in it instead of the special one that came with the iphone.
