well 1st before you guys read this my friend had no clue what he was doin ...

...ok i know that this site does NOT tolerate cracked apps or the talk of cracked apps but my boy installed 1 and a few other programs from cydia and now his phone just stays at the apple logo

he installed:sonic vox -cracked


and he installed

winterboard

some chromium theme or something like that

dock 3.0 or w.e

the copy and paste app

and i think he downloaded some card game


he installed the cydia apps 1st n then lookd in to the appstore n was like "i aint payin theres gotta be a way around this" and googled it and downloaded 1 and thought he was cool cuz he got app that he had to pay for for free and he installed it synched it and everything was fine but when he went to his slide to unlock screen he slid the icon and pressed the ipod icon played his song pressed da home button and now him n i are sittin here while he explains too me what exactly he did so maybe yall can help him

p.s. he wants to know if (cracked apps) could've killed his phone

i mean if u seriously dont beleive me ill prnt scrnn my itunes receipt and it shows i still owe like 14 bucks because i told my friend earlier id buy him wateva apps he wanted and he could just pay me back but he was like "nah **** that i aint got money to be spending on bull S***" so now i can rub it in his face that he couldve been safe if thats the problem wit his phone

but can i get a real response next time buddy

does matter if "my friend" is the OP or not, i'd suggest you restore and start paying for your apps or don't download at all

well honestly your description of what happened is not very clear and without punctuation it's even harder to understand, but none of the "legit" cydia apps he installed are problematic so most likely the cracked app. might as well tell him that it's that so he doesn't do it again

For the record he probably just dd it wrong. I load cracked all the time and have never had issues. He probably deleted or changed a file that was necessary for booting his phone...

Well, I can;t/won;t go into how to setup a phone for a cracked app... but if that is ALL he did to prepare his phone then he did it wrong.

there are certain ways things are done, as for cracked apps, your "friend" thought it was too easy....restore is the only option for him
