    Angry Phone's gone crazy! HELP!

    Hi all,

Unfortunately I dropped my 1st gen last night causing it to crash against my tiled kitchen floor quiet hard, as a result the on/off button (top right corner) is gone! It either broke off or is embedded into the phone itself as it is now flush with the outer surface of the phone!

Here's the problem: When I remove phone from dock after recharging, it keeps going into restart i.e. iClarified logo keeps flashing on & off but nothing else happens?? As long as phone is sitting in dock it's perfect but as soon as I remove it the logo keeps flashing on and off and phone is unusable

    Can somebody please help

if its smashed in who knows what its pushing into. only bet would be to take apart the case and see if you can remove the button and see if its wedged in there and pushing something down.

    Hi Boxxa,

Thanks for your reply. I Wouldn't feel over confident about taking apart the case - is there a guide anywhere which details this?

In the meantime I'm managing to get by, I've set autolock to Never and this keeps the phone from 'restarting' and keeps the iClarified logo at bay.

Not going to be ideal for battery life though I imagine, let alone when I'm out & about with phone in my pocket, who knows what calls will be made (unbeknown to myself)!!

Might wanna look through that and see. You might be able to get away with just taking off the bottom screws and opening it without taking the internals apart. That might also allow you to pull out the top button and see if its pressing down on anything and wedged under the edge.
