Problem deleting email account on iphone

I was trying to get the exchange server from work on my iphone after discovering i was unable i decided to delete the account but i am unable to the phone just hangs on a deleting screen for hours any ideas on how to solve it?

I don't know the "rules" for exchange accounts, and I'd only do this as a last resort, but a restore will indeed fix the problem. There's a better way, but I don't know what it is since I don't use exchange mail.

I do know that if you are setup to SSH into your phone you can delete the mail database file and accounts and it SHOULD make it back to like it was the second you started at square one.

I deleted the whole MAIL folder yesterday night and still nothing. My Gmail account was deleted but not the one i had created for exchange unless it is stored in another place. I guess a restore would need be i just did not want to loose some text messages i have.

I have had this same problem, I can't delete my exchange account either. I tried everything and nothing can resolve it. I called Apple and they told me to restore my iphone and lose everything.. haha what a joke!

Same thing i was told and now phone is very slow.
