Give us more information about the phone.
And by the way, threatening to sell your phone does not want to make us help you any more than usual.

go into device manager (control panel - system - hardware). Look for any devices showing a yellow exclamation point. If you see any "unknown device" or any that look iPhone related, uninstall the device. Reboot your PC. open iTunes and plug in your iPhone, try a different USB port if you can This may take a couple of minutes but it should reinstall the driver.

Please sell it to me! I will give you $160.00 for it.
There is a file inside of your phone that you can SSH into and delete the contents to help your comuter recognize your phone. Unfortunately I cannot remember it's location. Anyone?

Heh, all jokes aside, one of the possible reasons might be your USB port. For example, in my work PC, it just wouldn't recognize the phone even after I uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes several times. Then just by a hunch I tried a different USB port (which was on the backside of the tower and was not easy to reach), and voila, it worked!
Try changing USB port, then try uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes, after that Open Taks Manager and make sure AppleMobileDeviceService.exe is running under the processes tab in taks manager.

Ok, I agree to sell my iphone but I think it will be like a pizza and everyone wanted to buy it should have a slice .
My OS is XPSP3 and when I connect my iphone (8Gb)to PC through USB there are two choices on phone screen for USB config. (Mass storage and com port) if i chose mass storage it works as a removable disk and if i chose com port PC cannot recognise hardware and it doesnot appear in itunes and i have tried to use all USB ports and uninstall then reinstall itunes and checked everything have a relation with this and finally nothing happened .my iphone is 8Gb and i bought it 2 weeks ago and it is unlock and what makes me wanna upgrade its software (I cannot know version of its software as i enter to its settings and find nothing about this)isnot good and makes me think that nokia 6150 is better than my iphone so i decided to downgrade to software of nokia 6150
So Please help me if you can?????
