Iphone Dim screen endless boot HELP

Okay a few days ago my iphone screen went completely white I did a hard reset and that seemed to work. The next day my phone goes black and I can't turn it back on. Now it's just stuck at the dim apple screen and ever so often the little plug in usb apple logo will show up but it's dim too. I have tried to restore a million times but I keep getting a 1601 error or 1604. I have checked google and checked the site nothing helps I am getting so frustrated

I have to drive home from college in a few days and I really need my phone please help

You need to go into DFU mode and Restore.

Also, I had the DIM screen issue once, I just did a hard reset, hold Power + Home for 15 seconds, and it worked :/.

I've tried going into DFU and I still get an error message. I've done the hard reset and it just goes back to the dim apple logo with the usb

do you think apple will replace it on the spot if i can't get it to work?

I had error 1601 two days ago, Do you got the iphone usb cord plugged into a usb hub? If so plug it directly into your computer. Sounds stupid but it worked. found it on mac forums searching for 1010 hardware issue

^^^ Still nothing if I unlock my 1st gen Iphone can I put my 3g sim in it?
