2G iphone wont vibrate.
My 2G iphone has quit vibrating. I was very drunk sat night and i must have dropped the phone and theirs a nice size dent right above the silent/ring switch above volume control.
Did the drop make the iphone quit vibrating?
Is their a fix?
Thanks in advance

Go to the Apple website and go to "support". You can enter your serial number and determine if you are still under warranty. If you are, you can restore to a stock firmware in iTunes and take it to an APple store for replacement, I just did this on Saturday. Got a replacement for free. This iphone had been dropped too (actually fell down a flight of stairs onto a tile floor) but no dents or cracks. I just went in and told them it stopped vibrating. Brough home the replacement and upgraded and jailbroke it. It works great.
If you are out of warranty, you can still go to Apple but they will charge you $200 to replace it. You might also look for parts on ebay but I have no clue about how to fix the vibrate. You might want ot search on here and on Google.

Thanks. I called apple and their sending me a box to send it in. Its still under warranty. The guy said they might not fix/replace it cuz it has a dent in it and they will assume the dent was why it quit vibrating.
If they dont fix it i think ill just sell it and get the 3g.
You have been thanked.

I take it you do not live close to an Apple Store? I fortunately do so its a bit easier to explain stuff. As far as the dent. I took in one of my son's iPod Classic that developed a hard drive problem. It would only sync to 1 Gb. The thing had a dent with a pinhole. It actually looked like someone jabbed it with a pen. Apparently it "fell on the floor" while he was at the shore for senior week. At any rate I explained how we had done all teh diagnostics that one can find on Apple's support site and on teh web, we tried restoring, we tried syncing on three different computers using two different operating systems. Anyway, teh Genius looks it over I see him rub at the dent, (got nervous) then he says hes going to swap it for a new one. I honestly believe these guys appreciate someone who is not a complete noob or at least attempts to figure out the problem.
Good luck!

You could easily sell it for enough to get a 3g for sure. (if your upgrading)
But if you just wanna keep the 2g, its part of the headphone jack assembly...which you can buy together for about $30
