FriendSync + NueavaSync

Has anyone figured out a way to sync your contacts back to gmail. I am using NueavaSync to sync it to my iPhone and FriendSync to add pictures.
Now, is there a way to sync it back (with pictures) to Gmail?

The problem is with a bug in the iPhone software in the way contacts are synced over Exchange and MobileMe. Pictures aren't synced correctly and in some cases causes FriendSync to crash. This is currently still a problem in the 2.2 firmware.

Since NuevaSync appears to emulate Exchange to get over the air syncing to work, it has the same problems as Exchange itself. Apple has said they are working on a fix for this issue.

The problem can also be replicated sometimes by manually setting a contact's image from the built-in Contacts application. It will sometimes crash the Contacts app which leads me to believe there is also a problem in the NuevaSync implementation of the Exchange protocols.

New issue, I got the pics back to Google Contacts =)
But, for some idiotic reason, FriendSync adds a fugly black border around pics that make it look horrid.
I updated these images on google contacts but now they wont update on iPhone i.e. the images set via FriendSync are kept and the new images from Google Contacts are not downloaded.

I've tried everything erasing the contact list on the iPhone and syncing it, clearing FriendSync cache, manually deleting pics on iPhone so NuevaSync would sync it over the next cycle but to no avail.

Can anyone tell me the location of iPhone's contact image cache?

You can change the Image Size option to Full Screen. The black border is put there for placement on the screen when making and receiving calls.

to choose full screen picture mode, go to FriendSync -> Options -> Image Size and choose Full screen.

This will work most of the time, but if your Facebook friend has chosen to crop their picture in a size that won't fit in the defined dimensions on the iPhone, black bars will be added to fill the gaps.
