Exclamation Helo: I deleted my Var on iPhone 3g

I accidentally deleted the var file on my iPhone 3g and now its turning on and off. My computer and iTunes is not detecting my iPhone. It just stays on the blank black screen with the apple logo. Can anyone help me?

    Thanks

    ^psshh.

    Enter dfu mode:

1.Connect phone to computer. Turn phone off.
2.Hold power and home for 10 seconds
    3. Let go of power button, but keep holding home button till the computer recognizes your phone.
    4. Then restore.

it should work b/c the only way I can see them fixing the phone is by restoring it. By doing a restore they will never know it's been jailbroken
