Bit of help - Recomend me some APPS

being a hardcore 1.4 modder, i upgraded to 2.1 last night and feel like 2 years have passed in terms of applications and mods available

What app now changes the themes for the iphone?
Is it winterboard? how to i add themes / icons ect to it?
can any one recommend me some decent apps?
Can some one recommend me some decent games?
The installer crashes, does everyone now use cydia?

cydia is it for now.
You can get a bunch of themes for winterboard through cydia, if you find something that's not there, you can ssh themes to /library/themes. It is also fully compatible with summerboard themes.

Not so many games on the jailbreak scene now that the app store is here, but still, you can find an interesting version of pacman, and a whole boatload of emulators.

Oh and get enigmo from the app store, by far the best game out.

go through the featured section in cydia, it has some pretty nice utilities listed.

yes winterboard
simply install them from cydia then arrange them on winterboard in the order of most vital to least vital of images alterations used
eg: * icons theme
* lock screen
* that theme that says it the best but has naff icons and lock screen

*that theme that u may use one day but cba at the moment
decents hmm... theres loads just need to browse cydia and appstore
again browse appstore for games( a few on cydia)
YES cydia is the life of 2.* there is (quote from bossprefs)

Installer has about 1/10th the packages that are in Cydia. On 1.1.x, installer was the app to use. On 2.0 this has changed. You should use Cydia now. At the time of this writing, there are some 900 packages in Cydia and only about 90 in installer. The packages in installer are also in Cydia. Your key packages are not in installer.

Just have uninstalled customize being old school 1.4 i thought that would be compatible.

Customize did sorta work for a while, but now its totally gone. Its not really needed since Winterboard can change ANY image on the phone.
