Copying songs to iphone
I have a number of songs on my pc that I want to copy to my iphone without much effort. The folder structure of the songs on my pc is something like below and I want to retain the same structure in the iphone also.
------------> Album1
------------> Album2
Language1 -> Album3
------------> Album4
------------> Album1
------------> Album2
Language2 -> Album3
------------> Album4
------------> Album1
------------> Album2
Language3 -> Album3
------------> Album4
Right now I am not able to separate the albums based on the language and just create a playlist for each Album and copy one by one into my iphone whenever I have time. Is there a simple way to do this at one shot. If seperating the albums by language is not possible it is fine even if I can copy all the albums at one shot while retaining the name of the playlist as the folder name of the album on pc.Last edited by chsriman; 10-23-2008 at 05:58 PM.

you can use an app store app such as file magnet (mac) or the windows app equivalent as a program that will transfer your files and give them a specific placeholder in the app so when you launch it, it is all right there in the app for you to access.

Thanks for your reply. Looks like this one costs $4.99. Is there some free app that can do this work for me?

I imagine you could import them into Itunes and have it setup that way, may take a sec...but it may be your best bet.....besides buying an app.

Doubtful. According to the website:
FileMagnet for the iPhone and iPod Touch
Cross-platform compatible. FileMagnet 1.1 adds support for both Windows and Mac versions of the Uploader. Use FileMagnet as a storage device - copy files onto your phone at home and copy them off at work.
So this is my recommendation for a simple interface file holder that will keep your music in one folder and allow you access to it. Wireless syncing is also a plus, so no reason not to have it as you can add and remove the music on ANY computer anywhere without iTunes.Screw #Winning, I'm #Juanning

I figured this out. I first used MP3 Tag Tools V1.2 to update the "Album" tag in all the files. That is a good piece of software and you just have to select the main folder where all your songs are recursed into sub directories. Next step was to add the main folder to iTunes library and then sync to iPhone. I still dont have the categorization based on Language but have each Albums separately.
