Is it possible to go back to your old phone/old plan after buying an iphone3g
So I bought an iphone 3g the day it came out at the discounted rate for 299.99 for the 16gig white iphone 3g. I was wondering what would happen if I just wanted to go back to the normal mins per month plan without all the iphone stuff. I dont use my phone nearly as much as I did back in the day and would like to have a cheaper monthly bill. I have my old cell phone sitting around in the house and was wondering if if anyone knew if I would be able to just , sell the iphone on ebay, and go back to the normal plans of mins, no internet or none of that stuff, and use my old phone. I dont really care about the contract length because I dont plan on switching from ATT anytime soon. I just want to know if I am able to get rid of all the fancy dancy iphone stuff and go back to the normal plans with a normal phone, or am I stuck paying premium iphone monthly payments for a certain amount of time, then I can do that. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am not sure but the only thing to do is call and ask! I do not think they can do anything to you for calling and asking (maybe take your first born). LOL

yes it is possible to go back because i did it with the original iPhone and they took off all the iphone features including the iPhone Data and the iphone contract itself which was really surprising. But i dont think they would take of the iphone 3g contract but you never know all you have to do is call them and tell them you dont have ur iphone anymore and ask them to take of the data and change ur rate plan. Make sure you dont use your iphone after this because you will be charged for data because you wont have the data plan. And try to do it at the end of your bill cycle so they dont prorate your bill and you get 2 bills instead of 1 k
