Default Problem with deleting photos but disk space didn't free-out

    My iPhone info: iPhone 3G 8G v2.1 jailbreak-ed

I was downloading photos from my iphone to my desktop(XP),
my method was to right click on the "Apple iPhone" in my computer,
then click open, then copy the photos to my desktop.

However, when I finish copying and trying to delete those photos
(drag all the photos and right click - delete), the panel just froze,
and the same happened to my iphone. So, I un-plug the usb connector
from my iphone, which immediately my iphone shows the unlock screen and
work perfectly fine as usual. Then, I check the disk space available
using bossprefs, it was 6.2g/7.1g before deleting, and is still the same after,
but the photos in my camera roll are all gone.

I'm wondering how will I be able to free out those disk spaces?
or I must have to restore my iPhone to original v2.1 and jailbreak it again?

    Thanks for ya help folks

I am not sure you are using the proper routine to retrieve photos from your iPhone since you cannot use it as a hard-disk unlike the iPod.

I use this software to manage and transfer my photos from iPod to computer and vice versa.
