but i'm stuck at the part where you have to download INdependence... the thing is that i downloaded it, tried to load it but it says that an unsupported version of itunes is detected and it won't work... so itunes 8+ does work.. i tried finding itunes 7 or lower for the mac but i can't seem to find it...

That wiki is way old all u need to do is flash a modified firmware available pretty much anywhere... Search pwnage tool here on mmi and it's everywhere..
