    Default app for switching networks?

I'm not sure if this app exists or if the iphone is able to do this. let me explain a bit. there is a couple places i go to that are right on the edge of att's towers, so i get one bar. however they have a tower agreement with a local cel provider and they piggyback off their towers in bad reception areas. with other unlocked phones i've been able to select network and register on the alternate towers going from 1 bar to full bars. is there any iphone app that will allow me to do that or is there a way to do it natively?

    thanks

not sure if this is what you mean but if you go to settings/carrier you can select the carrier

thanks for the quick reply, i'm on 1.1.4 and tried that but the carrier is not there.

hrmmm just noticed i do not have the carrier selection there, i thought i jailbroke and unlocked it correctly

OK on 1.1.4 i'm either missing something or i missed a very important step in unlocking the service. i've tried ziphone and every other utility i can think of but have not been able to get the services selection on the settings screen, can anyone help.

    thanks

yeah that is not what i was looking for. i really do not want to switch carriers, i just want to be able to select what network i am currently using. BTW i recently upgraded to 2.1 if that makes any difference.
