    Default Please help - blank screen after reboot - No icons

    Please help me. I have just rebooted my iPhone (2g on 2.01) and when it starts up there are no icons/apps, no dock -only the wallpaper!! - everything has gone!! what can I do to get it back up and running?

    Hold power & home button in at same time till you see apple logo, it will reboot its self, see if that does the trick. Make sure NO usb cable is connected.

    What did you install before you rebooted? Can you connect via SSH?

    I didnt install anything I just turned it off so I could put my sim in another phone temporarily. Yes I can still connect via SSH.

    Did you try putting in the original sim back in? If that doesnt work, tell me, did you update anything before you went turned it off?

    Well if you havent installed anything, we can count that out. But something is still wrong. If i was you I would do a full restore with itunes & winpwn, J/B again etc. You can copy your user/library folder out of your phone if you wish & then SSH what you want back into it ie, call & sms history etc.
