Please help

let me start from the beginning.. I was told to just connect to itunes, hit update and let er rip..when it finally finished downloading 2.1 and installed it on my phone a screen came up that said "activate your phone" when I hit continue it took me to a screen that said, ATT is confirming your account of something of that nature, and a little spinning wheel and "this will take about a minute." after 15 or 20 minutes, still spinning. So I closed it out, connected again and went right back to the "activate screen". so Iwas told to go ahead and quickpwn it, first thing quick pwn did was ask for bootloaders. ??? so when I told him this he said I wasn't following directions, there were no directions, I hit exe. and that is the first screen that came up.. so I went to the link he showed me and the video didn't look like my version of quickpwn, so I deleted my version and tried to download it again, now I get an error message saying it is corrupt and cannot open it??? Please, please can someone help me??

ok, quickpwn running again, but still goes to screen asking for boot loaders

ok , if you have a 1stgen iPhone, then just do a search in google for bl39 and the other one, download and extract, then do quickpwn again, that should do the trick
for that ,

Thanx button in advanced

I went to watch that video again and realized I had not closed the two apple programs on my computer, closed them and ran quickpwn again, did not chose unlock, and it ran all the way thru, but still no service, so I tried to run it again and checked unlock and it went to that darn boot loader screen, am I going to have to do that to get it activated without going though the att activate screen?
