Rather than start a bunch of threads for all the questions I have, I thought I would just list them here, and then once I have a few answers and get a little more familiar with the device, I will ask Google before posting.

Let me just say I was shocked to find no user manual with this thing! Does one exist online?

Here we go. I would appreciate any answers you're able to provide. Thanks!

1. How do you add custom ringtones to the device so I can distinguish my callers? I don't see a "browse" option when selecting ringtones for my contacts - only the default ringtones. Also, can I add custom tones for emails, SMS, voicemail, callers, etc., so I can distinguish among them all with a different tone?

2. Is there one or more online communities dedicated to the iPhone that are comparable in size to, for example, BlackberryForums.com or Crackberry.com for the Blackberry?

3. Is it possible to add to the number of icons that appear at the bottom of the home screen, or is 4 the max?

4. Is Internet Explorer available for the iPhone?

5. Is it possible to store my iTunes Store password in the phone so I don't have to enter it each time I visit the Apps Store?

6. Possible to change the background on the home screen (behind the icons) to something other than plain black?

7. Is there a recommended brightness setting for the device? I plan to charge daily if that makes a difference.

8. I have both my wife's and my email accounts set up on the device. It's my own domain using Exchange, so they automatically get pushed to my phone. Can I disable new mail notification for only my wife's account so I only receive a new mail notification on my Mail icon when a new mail is received in my account?

9. Is there a recommended function for the Home button?

10. Is it possible to set my browser home page to Google, and if so, is there a Home button somewhere that will always take me to that home page when I have Safari open?

11. Is there a shortcut to call your voicemail. I see a voicemail button under the Phone icon, but if I have no voicemails I don't see a button to call it. Also, will it prompt for my password if I call from the iPhone, and if so, can I store it somehow so I don't have to manually enter each time?

12. When you tap and hold an icon on the home screen causing them all to start wobbling with a delete button, what's the preferred method to return to normal - just hit the home button?

13. Is MMS, Copy/Paste and Video Recording still not possible? If not, will jailbreaking give me all of that?

14. What size/resolution is to be used for wallpaper and contact photos?

Keep in mind, many of the things you asked about (background behind icons, video recording, etc. are available if you jailbreak your iPhone. Also, if there is a new breakthrough or capability of the phone (like video recording was at one point) it will most likely be available through jailbreak first.

I keep my iPhone on full broghtness and it lasts me about 9 hours with an average amount of use.

If you have Automatic Brightness set to Yes, does that override the Brightness level setting, or do they work together somehow?

When it's on full, I don't think it makes a difference. Otherwise it subtly changes.

well, as for 6. Once jailbroken, install winterboard and it allows wallpaper as backgrounds ,
10. Depedin on what browser you sync, it's homepage would be your homepage, I use firefox so it's bookmarks and homepage get set when I sync
11. Visual voicemail let's you hear your voicemail
Directly on your phone without dialing your voicemail. Your voicemail, when left, get automatically downloaded to your phone with re contact on it..then you get to delete them with the swipe gesture. All this with out dialing into your voicemail

I'm syncing with IE, which has Google set for the home page. But doesn't Safari always open to the last page viewed? And I don't see a home button.
