So I Sold My iPhone...
Went for $600 on ebay. Now I just have a question if someone could help me out. I restored it and put my sim in just to activate the phone. I was going to ship the phone like that but I am wondering if i should just restore without sim and have the phone not activated. I am concerned with having my account/number/whatever info my sim has on it being messed with because i really don't know much about this. Anyway, any info on how you think I should ship it would be really appreciated.
Thanks.

well. that depends on how you advertised the phone and which phone it is. if it's the 3g, you're probably selling it as is, so just restore it without activation
if it's the original iphone, you probably advertised it as unlocked/jailbroken, so i'd restore, jailbreak and unlock it without activating it with your sim.

I am not clear why you would want to send them your sim? There is no reason they should even want it...

Your sim goes to YOUR phone and YOUR account. No one else can use it in any way.....unless you want the bill for the calls they make on your sim card. Think of it as your credit card to your provider.

just restore it and jailbreak it again. you shouldnt have any problems with activation. if you can, back up your phone numbers on your sim or itunes or something and do it that way. also, i know with pwnage tool, i never had an issue with activation. i did a few unlocks/jailbreaks on the 2g and 3g alike. give it a shot and good luck.

I just jailbroke without sim this morning therefore they can figure out how to activate it. I'm sure if they are willing to spend $600 on a phone then they know what theyre doing. if not ill just point them towards the hacktivation. Thanks for all the help guys.
