8 fun IPHONE 3G Intermediate-newb questions.
1. While listening to a song, is there a way to add it to the on the go playlist without going to playlist > on-the-go > album/songs > find the song... Its very annoying that way if you have alot of music, there should be a quick add button!!!
2. How do i know if open SSH is on? are there any preference menus for it? (after downloading I just have to assume its there?)
3. When I click on installer and click on categories (all packages) i only have like 10 things, is it usually used just for entering sources? whats a good site for sources?
4. is cydia the best? should I have anything else?
5. Winterboard is cool, but very un organized and sometimes I find I have two themes turned on or sounds etc that conflict with eachother. Is there another better organized program?
sidenote: I downloaded an "additional preference package for winterboard and I didnt notice any difference"
6. when i got to settings I see RIP Dev and face lift, I set a few things like lockscreen and springboard background but they didnt change? I turned off all themes and restart and still no go.
7. why cant I find some packages other people claim are there? ie: trying to find bigboss NES rom package. searched cydia, got the repository but no package...? how do i update to the most current lists?
8. I tried using Transmit and Cyberduck and cannot connect to my phone. I dont have wifi at work but i created a WIFI connection with my lap top (computer to computer) and connected to that fine, got the IP and none of the programs work with user root and alpine as the pass (both time out after a few tries)
K school me, I am a newb. But not a complete newb since I actually jailbroke my phone and got far enough to experience these problems.

1. I could have sworn there was a way but it looks like there isn't.
2. Get BossPrefs from Cydia, it gives you toggle to turn SSH on/off (along wifi/edge/3g/bluetooth and others)
3-4. Cydia is pretty much IT right now and has pretty much replaced Installer
5. Don't think there is, but keep in mind that you can stack the themes by priority and Winterboard will load them accordingly.
6. No idea
7. Pretty sure a NES rom package would be frowned upon so you're better off getting ROMs elsewhere
8. No idea either.

Summerboad is the "old" winterboard, which was much more feature rich... but it doesn;t support 2.x
As for roms packs being frowned upon... they are illegal, that is why

illegal? im pretty sure although illegal no company has chased someone for copying games that are over 15 years old...
I was watching a show that mentioned that there is kinda of an understanding between public and for example nintendo that they understand these games are old and dont mind letting people ROM them.
