Manual Uninstall/Remove Application?
Hi gang,
I'm having a problem uninstalling a program from my phone. I'm running firmware 2.1 on a quickpwned phone, and I have TapDial showing on the spring board but its name is showing "SB Dial". The only way I know that its TapDial is the Icon shows the original name.
Since I originally installed it using Cydia, I used Cydia to reinstall TapDial, and then I uninstalled it, but it did not remove the program that is giving me problems.
The TapDial app works fine when I start it, and the app have been working great for a few weeks, and I just noticed this issue when I opened Categories and it did not show up in the list of apps that you can move into a folder.
I SSH'ed into the phone but I can not find any information on the .app I checked every folder in /private/var/mobile/ but I cant find anything.
Can anyone point me in the right direction to manually uninstall/remove the app?
I've included a screen shot just incase it helps explain the issue.
Thanks in Advance!

Look under /private/var/stash/Applications
there are the Apps from Cydia and maybe the Stock apps.

Thanks for the info iLena,
I checked /private/var/stash/Applications, and I did find alot of applications, but I did not find the one that matches the SBDial one that I want to remove.
Does anyone know if theres a list that shows all of the applications that are showing on the SB? If there, is I'm wondering if it would point to the location of the different applications.
Thanks,

NM I just did a factory reset and that cleared up my issue real good.

Thanks though.

A little late, but .....
I thought I'd reply on the off chance this user still needs help, or someone new like me comes across this post as I did.
If you know Linux/Unix commands, you be right at home. If not, read on:
I had to find an app that iTunes wasn't controlling anymore. So, after jailbreaking (QwkPwn is what worked for my 3G iPhone)I shelled myself in and plugged in the following
Replace xxxx with a piece of your app's name (i.e. I had to use sound to find iProRecorder). It was under a directory (77BC2AA9-B549-4799-B303-DA61F0D57191) under /private/var/mobile/Applications, but others on my phone are under /private/var/stash/Applications.eGpmR1, hence the difficulty (I think).Code:find / -name *xxxx*
Hope this helps someone. Happy playing!
