My phone fell in water... help... :)
Well, I am a dumbass, I know, so please refrain from those comments

I was preparing to take a piss, and my iPhone (which was attached to my pants with a leather case) fell in the toilet. I immediately took it out (maybe 1 or 2 seconds have passed) and its' screen turned the background light off. I could still read that it is saying: SIM card not installed (or something similar). And then it turned off completely.
I went immediately to my room and started drying it with a hair-dryer. Some water was dripping from the speaker-side of the phone. I dried it for about 5 minutes and then decided to open it. Started opening it with a screwdriver (tough bastard, cut my fingers twice) and managed to do so in 10 minutes (I've never opened another iPhone in my life before, so I consider that fast) without significant damage to the casings or whatever.
While I was opening it, the back cover (with the apple logo) got warmer, like when it's processing something. Also, the speaker created some noise, cannot exactly describe it, it was like an audio Geiger counter measuring radiation
Then, when I removed the all the casings, I dried it some more with the dryer. I saw the water damage indicators, which were turned violet (damn). I then unsoldered the battery from the mother-board, and put the phone in a big cup of rice (to take all the moisture from it) and is still drying there (3rd day).
Do you think I have any chance? What can I do?
No replacement options available as I live in a country where you can't buy an iPhone legally

Normally I'd say put it in a bowl of white rice for a couple of days, but you've already taken the thing apart. I'm not sure what more steps could be done.

Ya water damage to the iPhone is really tough since the battery is so hard to get to. Most of the time your phone is fried before you can get the battery out.

If you manage to put it back together properly, there is a small chance that it might come back alive. Take it out, try to turn it on, if it doesn't work, turn it off again.
A) it's fried
B) it's still got some moisture in it.
If it doesn't work at all, you might want to consider selling it for parts on ebay.

You've done everything right. Make sure the phone and rice are in a clear container with an open top that can sit in the sunshine. Won't hurt you to use a hairdryer on the container either so the heat will raise the moisture quicker.
If you do that for the rest of the day you should be set to try it out later tonight given that 3 days have passed.Screw #Winning, I'm #Juanning

Thank you all for your responses, I sincerely hope I will be able to get something from it. I watched some YouTube videos where they drown the phone in a bowl of water and it still works :8

Well, I've been really busy with my life so I forgot about it :P Still drowning in the pool of rice now. Will try it tomorrow to see what happened. There was a guide on the net which said that I should rinse the electronic parts with distilled water (so I can remove the corrosion) and I think I will try that if signs of corrosions are present.
Will keep you informed.

I also dropped my first generation iPhone into a deep puddle once, for about 5 minutes, before I realized my phone wasn't in my pocket anymore. I found it and tried restarting it, and the apple logo turned pink and so did the whole screen. Then the iPhone died so I put it under a hair dryer for ages, trying to turn it on again. after about 2 hours of leaving it in my pocket, it turned on, working absolutely perfectly. That was an exciting day...

Update: after drowning my iphone in rice for 3 weeks, I decided to go and solder the battery back. After doing that, I tried to plug it on socket power from the adapter. The phone is dead. But the battery is charging, which kinda gives me hope that the internal circuit is working (at least the part to the battery).
I've found a way to short-cut the battery power over the power-regulator-module, which is most probably burned (like shown here: [Solution] Unbrick iPhone with power-on problem (only power-on with AC) - Hackint0sh) but that is not the way to work this phone (might burn it further).
Don't know what to do - there is no good iphone service in europe, on the Balkans, that's for sure. Anyone to recommend anything before I try to replace the logic board or sell the phone's parts?

Hello again guys. I must say that I pronounce my iPhone for officially dead. I've done numerous testings and try-outs to save it, but none of it was workable.
The corrosion was too big inside the phone, unfortunatelly. So I guess I will leave this community because I doubt I will be buying another iPhone.
I am in thinking about buying Samsung i900 Omnia, but we shall see.
Too bad there ain't any repair service here, so I can at least try to fix it.
