When did this start happening? After firmware upgrade? After Jailbreaking? After installing a certain application?

Well....I upgrade to 2.1 with Pwnage 2.1 and then I start to be beta tester for IntelliScreen 2.xx etc.
That maybe impact something be course I have to reboot a lot when testing. So when I find out this strange battery behaving it was a huge long time to start my phone up with several of spinning wheels and flashes before it start. Kind of 4 minutes startup time.

So I restore and Pwnage it again and again to be rid of the long startups. After that the phone get better but then the battery drain when power was OFF. Strange!? It have happen 4 times now.
In the present my startup time are about 55 sec.

I found out by the syslog that there are something going on with some AOSNotification and OTASyncAgent. (see below)

Sep 25 20:36:25 2-1-Matz AOSNotification[32]: [AOSNotification] Found account: matz.almgren@mac.com while initializing OTAHelperPlugin
Sep 25 20:36:25 2-1-Matz AOSNotification[32]: [AOSNotification] Registering Plugin Now...

Sep 25 20:36:25 2-1-Matz AOSNotification[32]: [AOSNotification] Process Next Task - Session not connected. Waiting to process...

Sep 25 20:37:16 2-1-Matz OTASyncAgent[46]: Shutting down.
Sep 25 20:37:25 2-1-Matz OTASyncAgent[56]: Taking assertion: kIOPMPreventIdleSleepAssertion
Sep 25 20:37:27 2-1-Matz OTASyncAgent[56]: Request to SpringBoard to set spinner state timed out (id: com.apple.mobilecal, enabled: ON)
Sep 25 20:37:29 2-1-Matz OTASyncAgent[56]: Request to SpringBoard to set spinner state timed out (id: com.apple.mobilephone, enabled: ON)
Sep 25 20:37:29 2-1-Matz AOSNotification[32]: [AOSNotification] Retrying Session Start Now

....and as Iīm a little bit of a n00b I really donīt know what that means but what I have heard from others they donīt have this AOS and OTA when they check their syslogs with IntelliScreen installed. Any clue??

ps. I also find this one after some days in the syslog: Oct 7 03:01:04 localhost kernel[0]: AppleMRVL868x: Baseband recovery detected

16GB 1.st Gen. iPhone
Pwnage 2.1 jailbroken, unlocked and activated.
even QuickPwn 2 times after Pwnage 2.1

using MacBookPro OS X 10.4.11

RESTORE to 2.1. Rejailbreak/unlock with quickpwn (not pwnage) and then test the phone for a few days with NO APPS to see if it's a hardware issue or a software issue. If you have no problems then it's software. If it still happens then it's a faulty battery.

Thx for ur advice!
But I have already done that for some week ago and all was good with both NO APPS and WITH APPS. But then it starts again with this "drain battery when power OFF"!?

If you've restored, it's just coincidence. Hardware issue is draining power somewhere.

if u restore and it works fine
so nothing wrong with ur hardware ( battery )
so there must be something draining it

TRUE!
Thatīs exactly what I have done a several of times.
Now after my "last" (1 day ago) restore by iTunes and Apples original firmware version 2.1 and after that QuickPwn 1.1 (Mac) we will see whatīs gonna happen.

I have experience that when switch OFF my phone it not "really" go OFF!? Of some reason it seems as the phone are running but with out anything at the screen (black), and impossible to start. After some tries the screen comes back by it self and all is as usual with out issues!? Strange but true.

But I cant find out IF there are any software causes it or not so we will see whatīs happen later on. Thx for ur engagement guys! let me know if u find any other answers plz!

ps. everything else works fine with both IntelliScreen and QuickGold, StausNotifier etc. (as many ppl have problem with to work together) installed "beside" each others.

The may be a stupid question but...

Are you sure you're phone is completely off? Did you hold down the power button and slide the "Slide to Power down" slider? or did you just press it?

Anybody figure this out?

I had this happen for the first time last night?

nearly full battery when I powered it off with hardware button and slide across the screen. 8 hours later it was almost dead?

3g, 2.2, jailbroken. Any ideas?

Strange. If the iPhone is off no apps should be running killing your battery. My 3G has being on standby for 22 hours 46 minutes and usage is on 1 hour and 26 minutes and I still have nearly a full battery. It is a 3G JB winterboard, sbsettings, beejiveIM, etc.

Usually a restore does some good, and If not it might just be a worn out battery.
