iPhone buying help. a guy down on luck
So my phone was stolen today at work. I don't know what pisses me off more, the fact someone at work took it, that all my stuff was on there or that i paid $200 for it.
Regardless, does someone know where i can buy an iphone for somewhat of a decent price?
thanks..

the fact that it was stolen from you...... it's a violation of your space and property and it always fuels the anger more than anything.
Make sure you've contacted your service provider and had the service suspended, also inform them it was stolen and would like them to attempt to locate it with the cell towers as it can be done, but sometimes requires a police request.Screw #Winning, I'm #Juanning

i just called rogers and asked and they said unfortunately nothing can be done.
i mean cant they even register the SN as stolen so if someone tries to register it than it'll come up stolen or whatever

Rogers = slackers.
Call Apple and report it stolen with your serial and IMEI so they can blacklist it if it ever is turned in for service. You need to call all the pawn shops locally and alert them it was stolen and give them your info and the phones numbers so they can look for it. Also put an add out in the paper and tell the people if you recently bought a phone it may be stolen and to please call to verify the serial. Tell them you'll give them a BIG reward for it, and when they call (it will likely be the thief) verify it is the phone, set up a meeting place and bring the police with you to get the phone confiscated and them arrested.Screw #Winning, I'm #Juanning

I had to go to the Wiki page on thanksgiving just to find out when you guys celebrate thanksgiving.
When you place the newspaper add, reference the fact the serial number is blacklisted and people will be arrested trying to hook it up. Scare them into turning it in.Screw #Winning, I'm #Juanning

damn where do you work?
I would send out an office memo saying thank you for stealing your property and your going to bash their face in when you find out who took it....
Look around and see who is using an iphone next week and compare ur serial number-
and I didnt even know Canada celebrated thanksgiving.
thats funnyLast edited by Carrbone; 10-13-2008 at 03:33 PM.

haha yeah we do
i dont think theyd be stupid enough to use it, i think they'll just pawn it, but to call all the pawn stores is a bit much
ill call apple tomorrow and blacklist it. theyre gunna mention the phone being stolen tomorrow so if nothing turns up, i guess i have shitty luck and people around here are assholes.
does anyone know where i can buy another one?

Calling a few pawn shops in a 20 mile radius isn't worth the $300 it is going to cost to replace it AND catch the a-hole?

What I would do is post a note saying that you have LoJack or something similar to it installed to your phone and that you'll give that worker exactly 1 week to return that phone, or you'll have it traced and have that someone arrested. (Always say you won't report that certain someone if he returns it by person etc) Its a risky bluff but may work. I've seen this done on a college campus when a professor had his laptop stolen (cept he really did have LoJack on it) and the laptop was returned within 1 week after his threat.
