Hi everyone, im about to list an i-phone I bought last week But I needed to know if its a 1rst gen or 2nd gen? I know for sure its not a 3rd gen. That's what im wanting to upgrade to.

The model on the back reads: a1203 and its an 8gb iphone.
Silver/black back.

Any idea what generation this is?

there only is a first and second gen iphone... 3G means third gen but is referring to the wireless internet. (CDMA is 1st gen, Edge is second gen, and HSDPA is third gen when referring to the iPhone)

No gps. back cover is different. Could I be mistaken?
