uh oh, something broke

so for a week or so now, every time i wake up my phone it gives me the "this accessorie is not mean t to work with iphone" screen even though its not plugged into anything. i think it has something to do with when i plugged my iphone into my i-home and pulled back on it by accident too far and it bent something.

it wont play music due to it thinking that its plugged into something. so when i plug it into my i-home now, it wont play music unless i pull back on it.

im wondering if anyone else has had this problem and fixed it? and what should i do? restore and take it to the apple store? i dunno! sucks not having sound on any of my games or anything. phone works fine, and so does the speaker durring a call.

also maybe thers a way to adjust a setting to make it think its not plugged into anything?

Flex cable assembly: http://www.modmyi.com/forums/general...-i-y-pics.html

It contains the plug, home button, speaker, and mic. You severed the connection, there IS NO connection to the components, it's not a software issue.

God help your soul on replacing that damn cable....... I'd rather take a kick in the nads than replace one.

LOL from the looks of those pics I don't blame you. I am usually pretty gutsy trying things I haven't done before but this doesn't look like much fun :P
