New Email Noticifcations

I tried searching for an answer but came up empty. My mail indicator says I have 2 new emails when I only have 1. I read the 1 and it still shows 1 but there isnt any other unread emails. I tried turning the acct off and on but it keeps popping up. Anyone run into this problem? Thanks!

I believe I may of had the same problem once. What fixed it for me, was to go to my E-Mail at the time it was gmail, here's what I found out it was that gmail had kept one of the emails in a folder such as SPAM, or saved. Not 100% sure its been some time. I hope you get fixed I am sure someone here will be along to help you.

Hey downtime. Thanks for the reply. It doesnt look like thats the problem although I wish it was. Its happening in my COX POP account. Hopefully someone will know.

Do you have more than 1 mail account activated? I had the same problem my gmail had no new mails but my .mac account did. If you go all the way back to the accounts screen you might see it in another account...

Thanks guys. I do have a gmail as well as a pop account. I went as far as deleting my pop account and resyncing. It loads the last 50 messages from the server but shows 51 unread. After deleting the pop account the 1 unread message disappeared so I think its in that account.
