I have just reassembled my 2g iphone after replacing my comm board. Unfortunately the touch screen no longer seems to work. It displays images but no longer responds to touch.
I have made sure that all the connections are secure and have even restored my iphone, but without luck.
Can anyone help??

When you separate the digitizer plug from the main board it severs the connections inside the ribbon cable if you don't do it with exact precise extraction. It's possible to repair the ribbon, but you need a vacuum solder chamber that will use pressure to inject solder into the ribbon cable and follow the leads. They're about $600 so no dice on that for you. The second option is to use a new digitizer and that's $175. As a third option I can try to put it in my vac chamber for you and see if it fixes the cable. I had to do it to mine when I did this tutorial: http://www.modmyi.com/forums/general...-i-y-pics.htmlScrew #Winning, I'm #Juanning
