I am pretty sure you have to get a plan with vodafone with internet. Are yoy sure they have 3G on their network?

Is the iPhone supported on Vodafone, im not from that country. No you don't have to get a text message just pop the sim in and it will hopefully work

the text message is only to confirm that your phone has been sent the relevant settings.

with the iphone, although vodafone dont suport it, you only need the 3g details for the uk 3g network, i think its apn or something and you put it into your iphones settings.

once the correct settings are in it will work fine. i havent got my phone with me or time to get links but theres a pointer for you...

Hello mate interesting that the sim works with the yes sim adapter. If you go in to the settings and then on general and then Network. Click on cellular data network and then for the APN put 'internet' for the username and the password you need to put in 'web' for both and then away you go. They are the contract settings anyway.

I work for Vodafone in the UK so any probs let me know, i have the 2G iphone but was looking for people who had the 3G version that worked, let me know how yo get on

Not entirely sure why its not working mate to be honest, should be fine the only thing i can imagine is its out of 3G network coverage or the other thing is it might be the sim adapter having read some reports on them. I would leave the setting on 'enabled data roaming' just remember to turn it off if you go abroad.

Glad its working though for ya mate

Looking at it i would leave the 'enable data roaming' off i think its just a case that there is not enough 3G coverage or the sim adapter doesnt allow 3G data transfer, it should still work over GPRS which is still ok just slower.
