changing carrier graphic manually

Hi
have tried to install Customize but no matter what it crashes just after launch. So instead i am using cyberduck to connect to my iphone 3g and want to replace the default_carrier_rogers graphic with something more appropriate like robbers or virgin. i understand the .png files on the iphone are different than regular .png files so i have used fixpng droplet to view the original rogers ones. however if i make new ones to replace them can i just insert regular png files or do they have to be some how realtered to the odd png format of the original iphone graphics?

of course if there is an easier way to do this i would love to know, or if the glitch with customize is something others have battled with and won and would love to share there experience.

Naw, just copy your .png files and overwrite the old ones. Good as gold.
