Help, ringer button broke on silent!
So, i was extremly unlucky
my ringer button broke stuck on silent, AND my vibrating motor broke
i haea a 2g 2.1 iphone unlocked and jailbroken, and i was wondering if theres a way to put it to ring
can anybody help me?

i'm looking all over for a solution... i triped, it fell on the ground, and at the same time i broke both the switch and the vibrating thing...
and the worst part is that repair is as expensive as a new iphone, so if i could just use some software that would be great....

i think the issue is that its a physical switch, but I could be wrong... It might just be jammed (is it stuck on the vibrate position?) Try taking the casing off and jostle it.

Well obvioulsy your waranty is voided, so i would go ahead and take the path and pop it open and replace the the switch
iPhone 4, Yellow Custom Glass, 32GB, 4.3.3, non-working home button. And a prototype iPhone 4 White.

Well, what you could do is try to move the part that's not broken off into the correct position. How you'd do this, I don't quite know, can we see some pictures of the damage?

You must physically move the switch to make the connection otherwise it is an open connection, not a software issue. If you can't do it, I can. click this
