any help?

i know this is a stupid question to be asking but i have no idea therefore need some answers

i have updated to version 2.1 , got a 3G phone
plan to jailbreak
once its jailbroken, and a new firmware comes out on itunes
i know im not suppose to update it once its jailbroken, but what if i want the new firmware on the phone?
how do i get about getting the new firmware?

You can just upgrade. It won't do anything to your device, unless your planning on unlocking after a soft unlock comes out.
